My Auto-Buy Authors

Top Ten Tuesday was created by  The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  Each week they suggest a new theme with a list for bloggers to choose from. It’s been a while since I’ve done a TTT post, but this week is all about our auto-buy authors so I thought it was the perfect time to join in again!

Heartless was the book that kick started my love of Marissa Meyer’s books, and I have loved every one of her books I’ve read since. Her books are all so different, but so, so fun and I’m always excited to see what she’ll write next!

While I really enjoyed the Shadow and Bone trilogy, it was the Six of Crows duology and King of Scars that really made Leigh Bardugo an auto-buy author for me and I could not have pre-ordered her next book, Ninth House, fast enough!

Even though I’ve only read the first two books in the Ember in the Ashes series so far (I can’t bring myself to face A Reaper at the Gates yet — I’m not sure I can cope with the wait until book 4!), they are more than enough to ensure that I will pre-order every other book in the series and anything else that Sabaa Tahir writes in the future, even if she does like her readers to suffer.

I know it’s a little odd to include an author that only has one book published at the moment, but The Night Circus is one of my favourite books of all time, and The Starless Sea is probably my most anticipated release of the year, so I had to include her!

Stephanie Garber’s Caraval trilogy is one that I have so much love for — Caraval is a book that just feels like a warm hug to me, and I’ve already reread it 3 times. I’m so excited to see what she dreams up next!

Who are you auto-buy authors?
