Well, August went by in a flash. This last month was a busy one for me, with uni deadlines and moving into my new flat, so I didn’t read as much as I’d hoped I would. BUT, I did post a lot more frequently on my blog and I think it’s safe to say that my blogging slump is well and truly over. August was my best month, stats-wise, ever, and I reached 100 followers, and then almost reached 200! I’m feeling really positive about being back and hopefully managing my blog a lot better when uni starts back up again in September!
Here are the books I managed to read:
I really loved The Deathless Girls. It’s a retelling of the origin of the brides of Dracula and it was wonderful — and it’s coming out in September! You can see my review for it here.
★★★★.5
I had mixed feelings about Wicked Like a Wildfire. I enjoyed the first half but was disappointed with the second. I plan on putting up a review for it next week!
★★★
Unfortunately, Kingdom of Souls was a DNF for me. I can really see why so many people love it already but it just wasn’t for me this time. I posted a short review here.
★★★
Here’s a quick list of some of my favourite posts from August:
- Gemina Review
- 6 Popular 2019 Books I Want to Read Before the Year Ends
- Book Friendship Groups I’d Love to Be a Part Of
- My Favourite Tropes
- Reader Problems Tag
- 9 Fantasy Books I Need to Read ASAP

It looks like your month has been super productive!
I’m sorry that Kingdom of Souls was a bit of a flop.
I hope August goes well for you!
