10 Books On My Autumn 2019 TBR

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday was created by  The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  Each week they suggest a new theme for bloggers to write about. This week’s theme is ‘books on your fall 2019 tbr.’

Stalking Jack the Ripper has been on my TBR ever since it came out and I honestly don’t know why I haven’t read it yet! I recently got a copy of the first book, though, so I’m determined to get to it this season.

I’m really excited to read The Poppy War — I’ve heard so many people talking about the suffering this book put them through and I’m ready to join them because this book sounds epic and apparently I hate myself.

Copy of RS-5

Sorcery of Thorns sounds absolutely perfect, and Book Twitter seems to agree because I see this book mentioned so much. It also sounds perfect for this colder season, so I’m excited to curl up with this book and a cup of tea.

I KNOW. I’ve somehow gotten through 20 years of life without reading Harry Potter, but that’s going to change before the year ends, promise. I’m thinking of starting the first book when I go back to uni!

Ninth House.jpg

Ninth House is one of my most anticipated upcoming releases and I’m really excited to get my hands on it.

One of my goals for autumn is to reread Renegades and get to Archenemies before the last book comes out so I can binge read them because I already know that I am going to love the rest of this series!

SPinning Silver-2

After reading Uprooted earlier this year, Spinning Silver was an automatic add to my TBR. All I need to do now is get my hands on a copy of it and I can’t wait!

How CUTE does this book sound?! It’s a definite must for me to read in October!

I’m still debating whether or not to reread Nevernight and Godsgrave before I read Darkdawn. I just don’t know if my heart can handle the events of the first two books again, so I guess it’s good that there’s a recap at the beginning of Darkdawn. I definitely need to read this soon, though, to avoid the spoilers!

Howl's Moving Castle.jpg

I got a copy of Howl’s Moving Castle a couple months ago, but I’ve been saving it for autumn because it just sounds so perfect for this season.

What books are on your autumn tbr? Have you read any of these? Let me know in the comments!

  1. That’s such a great selection. And hey, autumn/winter is the best season to read Harry Potter. “Pumpkinheads” and “Howl’s moving castle” should arrive at my place soon, so I hope I will get to those as well. I wish you great fun with your fall TBR. 😃

  2. So many awesome books on your TBR! I hope you fall in love with Harry Potter especially though. 😛

As for the other books.. It’s SO the right time to read Stalking Jack the Ripper. The entire series screams autumn atmosphere with the chill and cold and all that jazz. Hope you enjoy it! Sorcery of Thorns is also one I thoroughly enjoyed. It might be a standalone, but I’m secretly hoping for a companion novel.. SOMETHING. I need more of one certain, demonic character. 😛

    Happy reading!

  3. Congratulations on deciding to read Harry Potter for the first time! I’m super happy for you and hope you like that series. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (book #4) was my favourite one.

    My TTT.

    1. I do, too! I didn’t even know it was a book until recently though so I’m excited to get to it. Thank you! I’m really excited to finally understand the Harry Potter terms I see people using all the time lol.

  4. You have such a wonderful TBR list. Yay to Harry Potter. Any season is a good time to read Harry Potter. Pumpkinheads is a graphic novel that I am looking forward to read. I love anything Rainbow Rowell writes. Ninth House seems very interesting and I own The Poppy War but haven’t read it yet. I also love the Stalking Jack the Ripper series. I am currently reading Capturing the Devil but so far my favorites of the series is Stalking Jack the Ripper and Hunting Prince Dracula. I hope you get to read and enjoy the whole series. Kerri is such a fantastic writer!

    1. Thank you! I read an excerpt of Stalking Jack the Ripper a while ago and it seems like something I’ll love so I’m very excited to get to it! I’m glad you’re enjoying the series!

  5. I read Howl’s Moving Castle in January and absolutely loved it. I’m definitely hoping to reread it this fall! I also really want to read The Poppy War but I’ve heard that it’s very intense and takes a lot of brain power so I’m not sure how soon I’ll get around to it.
