10 Books on my Spring 2021 TBR

Top Ten Tuesday was created by  The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week they suggest a new theme for bloggers to write about. This week’s topic was ‘books on your Spring 2021 TBR.’

Some of these books may have appeared on a few past TBR posts already but let’s just pretend that they didn’t! As you can probably tell, I’m not very good at sticking to TBRs, but I do enjoy making them and I’m determined to get to some of the books that’ve been sitting on my shelf for a while this season.

I got really into Greek mythology for the 1000th time this January, and ordered A Thousand Ships after reading Natalie Haynes’ Pandora’s Jar. I’ve been really excited to read it ever since it arrived on my doorstep, so I’m pretty confident that I might actually get to it this Spring.

I took a rare trip to the supermarket the other week, and decided to pick up a book while I was there because I miss bookshops a lot and it was the next best thing. I bought Girl, Woman, Other, which I’ve heard lots of good things about, and I’m hoping to read it soon.

Mexican Gothic was a book that I was really hoping to read last Autumn, but never actually got to. I don’t have the kind of patience it takes to wait until Autumn 2021 to read it, so I’m thinking of picking it up in the next few months.

I’ve heard so many wonderful things about Get a Life, Chloe Brown, and I just know that I need this book in my life. Something about the days getting lighter now makes me really want to read a romance book, so maybe it won’t be too long until I read this.

The Once and Future Witches is another book that I’ve heard great things about. I loved Alix E. Harrow’s first book, so this was instantly added to my TBR, and the hype has me even more excited to read it!

The Princess Bride was the last book I bought in a bookshop before the first lockdown began last year, which is so strange! It feels like just yesterday that I picked this up, but I’m still just as excited to read it.

I finally read Pride and Prejudice last summer, and I loved it! Sense and Sensibility is next up on my Jane Austen list.

From Blood and Ash is all over Book Twitter at the minute, which actually makes me very happy since JLA was my favourite author throughout my teen years. It’s been too long since I read one of her books, so I’m really excited to get to this!

I bought myself a copy of The Mercies as a treat last October and was certain that I was going to read it immediately…ha. Story of my life. It’s been calling to me from it’s shelf ever since it arrived, though!

The Priory of the Orange Tree has appeared on quite a few of my TBR posts, I won’t lie. I know that it just might take me a while to read it (have you seen the size of it?!) which is a factor in why it’s taken so long, but I am determined to get to it this Spring (or this year at least, lol).

What books are on your Spring 2021 TBR? Have you read any of these? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

    1. Oh that’s good to hear! I’m excited to pick it up. That’s what drew me in about her books, it’s so nice to read the tales from another perspective!

  1. Heh, I feel like 90% of the books on all my lists are recycled and repeated basically all the time 😂 One day, these books will get ticked off it! Lol. Yes, to Chloe Brown! That book is amazing and so is the one after it–I hope you enjoy it (and all these books)! Happy reading 😊
